Gallery: Twin Temple at The Loving Touch, Ferndale, MI – November 23, 2019
From the moment this devilish duo entered my musical radar, I knew Twin Temple would have the potential, just from their ascetic alone, to become one of those acts that could organically grow a passionate fandom. Drawing from the energies of Satan, Twin Temple doesn’t feel like novelty act at all. Their songs are really good songs, period. Once I learned I could eventually see them live on the opening slot of the Amigo The Devil/King Dude tour, it was one of my most anticipated shows of the year.
With a set comprised of songs from their full-length album Twin Temple (Bring You Their Signature Sound…. Satanic Doo-Wop) and their new singles “Satan’s A Woman” and “I Am A Witch”, their ascetic that lured me to them in the first place is as vivid on stage as you see everywhere else. Twin Temple’s set, clocking in at about 35 minutes, was a perfect compliment to their personas. Backed by an addition 4-piece band, their “Satanic Doo-Wop” is made for live performances, only enhancing an already enchanting band. You could tell that many people in the crowd were their to specifically see Twin Temple and the others I’m sure were won over quickly. It didn’t take much for Twin Temple to have that crowd in the palms of their evil hands having them sing “SATAAAAAAAAAAN!”. I can easily envision Twin Temple’s fandom growing and they start selling out their own headlining tours in the near future. Twin Temple is THAT special.
Below is a few pictures I took at the show. I got to meet the high priests of Twin Temple, Alexandra and Zachary James, after their performance and I’m going to tell my kids they are my parents. They were very nice, like many Satanists are, and I hope to have them on the Breakin’ Recordz Podcast in the future.
