EPISODE #98: Ashley Adler Coro – IN THIS EPISODE:

The guest for this episode is Ashley Adler Coro, co-founder of Can You Hear Me?, a non-profit organization that works with musicians to raise awareness, take action and provide a supportive, empowering community for teens struggling with issues such as mental health, bullying, and peer pressure. Can You Hear Me? most notably partnered with main stage bands on the Vans Warped Tour for signings, donating all proceeds to MusiCares specifically for musicians and their families who struggle with mental health. During our conversation, we talked about how Can You Hear Me? was established, what sort of conversations they have with teens, how they are able to reach out to teens, and the artists they’ve worked with, among many other things.

THE FRESH PICK OF THE WEEK:

This episode’s pick if the new single/video from the South Wales pop punk band Junior titled “Day of the Dead”. The three-piece band consists of Matt Attard (guitar/vocals), Si Martin (drums), and Mark Andrews (guitar/vocals). Mark Andrews is also a pro wrestler who is most notably a member of the UK-based Progress Wrestling and WWE UK brand. Not only does “Day of the Dead” totally rock, but as a song that deals with loss, the video only intensifies the emotions of the story told. “Day of the Dead” is the follow up from their album Juniorland from last year.
