Underoath needs no introduction as this Grammy-nominated powerhouse has been revolutionizing the post-hardcore scene since their inception, captivating audiences worldwide with their intense performances and soul-stirring lyrics. I caught them on their Detroit tour stop at the Majestic Theatre along with the Russian powerhouse Slaughter To Prevail (STP gallery here) and the newly minted band Better Lovers (consisting of members of Every Time I Die, Fit For An Autopsy, and Dillinger Escape Plan), a date that they said was a late addition to the tour, but the crowd sure came out for it! Underoath just released their newest stand-alone single, “Lifeline (Drowning),” via MNRK Heavy, that will be included on their forthcoming album due out in early 2024.
